Over 50 of the Triads best technology startups will be exhibiting and conducting live demos in the atrium of Biotech Place before the 2019 New Ventures Accelerator cohort presentations. New Ventures is the only inception-stage, investment startup accelerator in the Southeast. We are leaders for the regions vibrant startup community.
The event kicks off on Thursday, September 5th at Venture Cafe with Rosemarie Truman, Founder and CEO of The Center for Advancing Innovation. On Friday, September 6th, join us at Wake Forest Biotech Place for a full day of demos, startups, investor connections, lightning round pitches, and informative presentations.

Cost: $50
Setup: One standing height 32” round cocktail table and tablecloth. One (single) power outlet. One standing banner no more than 3’ wide and 8’ tall is permitted.

The New Ventures companies receive an average equity investment of $50k.
New Ventures (NV) portfolio companies have raised over $4.4 Million in additional capital from regional seed funds and investors. Several high-growth startup companies that originated and were funded through New Ventures include Petrics, Ampogee, LeadingRole, Orbital RX, and Fluree.

With locations in both Winston Salem and Davidson NC, each year Flywheel attracts thousands of attendees to over 100 hosted programs such as Google for Entrepreneurs Startup Grind, Techstars Startup Weekend, and Triad Startup Demo Day.
VENTURE CAFE
The weekly Thursday Gathering serves as a physical nexus for helping innovators and entrepreneurs find one another and collaborate to bring their dreams to reality. These Thursday Gatherings provide a space for conversations and scheduled programs to inspire a wide range of attendees from around the world to connect. Think of it as a community living room.
As a non-profit, Venture Café can provide the framework upon which numerous experimental “applications” can be nurtured and launched. Entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, developers, artists, educators, designers and other members of the Piedmont Triad startup community drop in to chat about what they’re working on.
