In this seminar, NC IDEA‘s John Austin will discuss sources of funds, valuations, when to talk to investors, and what goes into a realistic fund raising plan and give tips on creating a realistic plan to raise money for your startup.

North Deck: 305 West Pettigrew Street Durham, NC 27701
Park on the first floor of the ATC’s North parking deck located at 305 West Pettigrew Street. Walk out of the deck past Burt’s house, down the stairs and follow thesidewalk along thebuilding, passing the railcar on your left. Cross the river on thebroken sidewalk and you will see the Power Plant building – walk around to the front of the building and walk toward Cuban Revolution. When you pass the outdoor seating area of the restaurant, you will see an entrance to the Reed Building on your left. Go through the doors and walk down the staircase to your left (American Underground Mural will be above the stairs). Once down the stairs, walk down the hall and The American Underground Classroom will be on your right (across from the market/kitchen area).
South Deck: 705 Willard Street Durham, NC 27701
Park in the ATC’s South parking deck located at 705 Willard Street. Walk out of the deck and across the pavilion toward the Strickland building with Saladelia and Maybelle’s. Go through the doors and turn left after the Maybelle’s seating area to the silver elevator and take it to the basement floor. Walk straight down the hallway and the American Underground Classroom will be on your left (across from the market/kitchen area).
