The consumer experience standards we’ve accepted in healthcare are vastly behind virtually ever other aspect of our lives. Membership-based primary care is dramatically improving upon that and becoming the wave of the future. ROAMD is a tech-enabled and Charlotte-based company that ensures membership-based primary practices succeed in delivering the highest-quality care possible.

Dr. Scott D. Pope, PharmD is CEO at ROAMD and an evangelical advocate for healthcare innovation in the Greater-Charlotte region. Scott is an accomplished healthcare executive and intrapreneur with extensive experience starting and rapidly growing healthcare solutions into complex markets. Over the last decade he has worked with healthcare companies ranging from publicly traded to bootstrapped start-ups. His leadership skills span a wide range including go-to-market strategy, business development, and launch for technologies, consulting, and emerging intellectual property. Prior to exiting clinical practice, Dr. Pope was the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist of infectious diseases at Atrium Health, formerly Carolinas Healthcare System. In this role he spearheaded formulary decisions on antimicrobial agents and was responsible for operationalizing new formulary changes for the large, multi-hospital system. Scott earned his PharmD degree and a minor in business administration from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. He completed a general practice residency at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital and specialty residency in infectious diseases/internal medicine/academia through Campbell University at Duke University Medical Center. He resides in Charlotte with his wife of 17+ years and their two strong-willed, energetic daughters.
